Enabling anonymous guest access to the public site – Part 2

In the previous post we created the public site. In this step we want to configure the guest access and make sure anonymous access is working. This requires some configuration in IIS, SharePoint and AX.

IIS

In IIS you want to make sure you authentication settings up setup. You will have to toggle with these settings if you are going to use the same portal internally and want internal users to access it.

SharePoint

You need to access the SharePoint site before you turn off Windows Authentication in IIS and access it as administrator to enable the anonymous user to be able to access the site.

AX WebSite

You need to find the website that was created earlier in the Web Site table and enable anonymous access for the website.

AX Guest User

You need to enable the Guest user and make sure you ass the Guest role as well as other roles that you want to assign for the guest user to be able to do some functionality on the portal.
