This is a quick walk through of how the master planning firming fence works. You can find the firming fence on the master plan, coverage group or down at the item coverage. You want to use this setting to avoid work for planers having to review all planned orders but you want to use it with caution to avoid overview ordering/producing so you will have to balance it based on the types and nature of items. For example for items that have max/min settings that you have setup for regular routine items it might be handy to avoid having to deal with manually firming those orders. As well if you product to order and not trying to wait to group orders then it might be handy to set to allow production orders to be generated based on demand.
