Receiving un-planned inventory with WMS

In managing inventory there is often times when un-planned things happen. In theory everything that you receive should be covered by a purchase order and you could use one of the menu items like purchase order receiving or load item receiving but if you goods arrive then you might not have a purchase order or a load that you could work with. So what do physically and in the system is something to reconcile. Do you send the goods back, sometimes that is possible but often freight carries are in the middle and they won’t move it again. So you are often left with receiving it and then work out later what you do with it. There are a few ways to do this so this is one example which is using an adjustment to bring the stock into the system. Then you can decide if you put it away or return it. So in this example we’ll put it away using a movement.
