The SCM team have a good blog covering some of the updates that you can find in CU11 for AX2012 R3. If you are just starting an implementation with AX it would be good to start with CU11 to save some time updating later in the implementation and re-test. If you are already live then it would be worth reviewing some of the updates and see if they can help out some of your scenarios. You can find the overview here
