This is a quick walk through of installing the warehouse mobile devices portal website to use with AX2012 R3. The setup would take a little bit of planning based on the devices and the network and how the devices will communicate to the portal. The install is reasonably simple but it helps to understand how it connects and the architecture to troubleshoot issues.

There are two errors in the config that you might run into as you can see in the video. First one is on the IIS site you might get a “value does not fall within the expected range” message if the app pool isn’t install correctly and if the bindings on the site are not correct.

As well, as you see in the video, there might be a message about the “The mobile device interface cannot be opened because either the display settings are not configured or they are configured incorrectly”. If you get this you might want to check the data is configured for the display settings or the default company for the service account.
