In this video we have a look at some of the setup and execution of master planning in Dynamics AX 2012. Master planning has been in Dynamics AX for a long time but with the AX2012 product there have been a lot of functional and technical improvements. This is one area in the product that requires a good understanding of planning concepts before you configure the application as there are a lot of parameters on the items, master planning and through the application that control the outcome of a master planning run. In other videos I’ll come some of those setup parameters, in this video we do a basic walk through to give you a navigation.

While I’m using R3 in this video the concepts apply to previous released. As well the flow is similar in AX2009 but the setup, configuration and capabilities have changed and improved since AX2009
