Budget control on purchase orders

Budget control is a useful feature if you want to stick to the budgets you put in place. Without a control mechanism in the business application you are going to have to run reports regularly and check how you are going against the budget. If someone goes past with purchases and the order is already confirmed and out with the supplier then you have a job to do to try to cancel an order. Having control turned on at the time of entry of the purchase order at least gives the operator the messages that they can then deal with to work around any budget issues.

In this walkthrough I give a quick overview of the budget control being used on a purchase order and an overview of the accounts that it’s using.

I don’t cover the parameters of budget control in this video, I’ll aim to cover more in future posts.

Cheers
