Planning is important for most companies. Different strategies are often deployed based on the dynamics of the products, industry etc. Using a forecast is one option for entering your future predicted demand. This video gives a quick overview of entering a forecast for a product used in conjunction with master planning.
This video was recorded with AX2012 R2 but the forecast entry is the same in RTM through to R3. As well in R3 a new statistical forecasting capability was added. In a previous post I covered some of the basic of that new capability.
