When you setup route operations it might be helpful to have notes that can be used as reference to how something should be assembled, setup steps or safety procedures for example. There is a basic text note that you can use in AX when you setup an operation that will then be visible in production reports.

The notes will default onto the production route where you can edit them or add additional notes. These will also print on the route card or the job card. You can attach other documents such as images for diagrams for example but these won’t print on the standard reports so you will have to modify those if you want diagrams to print.
