Item cost default on counting journal

If you are using the counting journal this is going to adjust your inventory. When it does this it’s going to use a cost price for the value of the inventory you are adjusting. This price is going to default from the item and you can adjust it if required.

Here is a quick overview.

  1. Hi Lachlan,

Worth bearing in mind that if you post a count journal line for a negative quantity (i.e. when inventory cannot be found), AX may (depending on the item’s inventory model) ignore the price set on the count journal line. If it’s a FIFO item, for example, AX will use normal rules related to the issue of a FIFO item, which means use the current running average cost price (and perhaps update the cost of the transaction later when inventory recalculation or inventory close is run).
