Your sourcing strategy will vary based on types of items. Some items will be easy to source from multiple vendors some you may only be able to source from one supplier. If it is an item that you can source from multiple supplies then you can use the master planning parameter for find agreements which has an option to search for a vendor based on lowest unit price or minimum lead time.
