AX has had a basic Gantt chart capability for many versions. It’s been slightly tweaked through the AX2012 releases but the functionality is somewhat the same. There are more advanced Gantt solutions available with some of the ISV solutions that add a lot of “re-organization” capability if you want to use the view of the Gantt change and re-schedule. There are few places you can access the Gantt chart if you are looking at using it for production control. The out of the box capability is good enough to get that time line view which Gantt charts are good for to see what is going on with a resource.
