In a previous post we had a look at an example of the modern design reports. You can install them from Lifecycle Service. To evaluate them further you might want to install them into a demo or development environment to review and possible modify them further.
It should be noted that this required Update 3 which is what I’m using in the video.
Here is a quick overview.
D365FO 1611 – Update3 (7.0.4307.16141)
You should note that in the video I do a manual deploy of the SSRS reports because I’m using a one box installation in this case. In a multi-box or regular deployment process these will be updated.

Hi Lachlan,
I have an environment where
Installed platform build: Update3
Platform build version: 7.0.4307.16141
I imported the Modern report model and did Build models successfully but Print management does not show the modern report design in the Report format drop down. Using Powershell I have deployed SSRS reports successfully.
Still I cant see the report design in the report format drop down.
Similar issue I am facing in an another environment where I have:
Installed platform build: Update6
Platform build version: 7.0.4509.16180
Is it a known issue? Is there any solution for this?
Thanks,
Raj

In my example I’m using a one-box demo environment the build should deploy the model. If you are not seeing it you might want to raise a support case.
