If you need the flexibility of stocking products that vary based on what the customer wants then a configurable product is maybe something you are interested in. There are degrees of configuration. In this example we setup a basic config product which means that you have pre-configured the product and store those different configurations in inventory. AX also has a product configurator will allows you to setup a model and the operator can put in configuration options. This video gives a walk through of using the config dimension on a product.
