If you are looking for a report that can give you a simple view of on-hand and some options for how you show on-hand over a period of time then the inventory by item group aging report might be something that can help. It will allow you to set date buckets so you can see the on-hand balances relevant to those buckets. You can run it by item or item group. So this could be helpful when looking at setting minimums for example you can see some history.
As well you can look at it as value or quantity.
Here is a quick overview.

Dear,
I’m not sure the data report showing are correct. How do you interpret negative (-) sign quantity? I mean, could you please assist me?

Hi
You would get a negative on this report if the value of the inventory is negative. This happens when you allow inventory to go negative. It might be worth reviewing this post to see how AX keeps the cost.

This example is using FIFO as the valuation method.
