There is a handy feature when you do a lot of editing of price discount agreement journals and you want to be able to use the flexibility of Excel. When you are editing the journal lines you can click the Edit in Excel button. While the spreadsheet might open and look like it will work if you haven’t published the service at the backend then the Excel Add-In won’t know how to communicate back to AX. This is a quick walk through of how to publish the PriceDiscServices.

It’s important to note the layout of the spreadsheet that comes up is shipped with the application. If you want a different layout you can build your own spreadsheet so I’ll cover that in a follow-up post.
